Push notifications are the fastest way to receive important alerts about your BECU account activity and messages — right on your mobile device. They come directly from the BECU mobile app, so you can get updates on your account activity without needing to check your inbox or wait for a text.
More Ways to Stay Informed
Until now, push notifications in the BECU mobile app were limited to new messages in an active chat conversation. Now, you have the option to receive real-time alerts for a wider range of account activity all in one place, including:
- Messages
- Exceeded budgets
- Debt payment reminders
- Low account balances
- Large deposits
- Large expenses/withdrawals
- Fees charged
- Foreign transactions
Managing Your Notification Preferences
With the latest update to the BECU mobile app, you'll be given the option to turn on push notifications when you log in. When you enable push notifications, SMS alerts will be turned off automatically. Email notifications will not be affected.
If you'd like to continue receiving texts in addition to push notifications, you easily can re-enable SMS in your preferences by following these steps:
- Log in to the BECU mobile app.
- Click on the menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings, then Notifications.
- Choose which alerts you'd like to receive and how you want to receive them.
