For veterans, the minimum active-duty service requirements depend on when you served. Please refer to the Veteran Affairs website Eligibility requirements for VA home loan programs for more information.

VA loan benefits don't expire, so you can use them at any point after getting out of the military. Additionally, you can use this benefit as many times as you want if you have any remaining entitlement.

If you're eligible for a VA loan and can qualify with a lender, there's no limit to how many of these mortgages you can take out over the course of your life.

Veterans Affairs has not set a specific VA loan credit score requirement. Lenders, however, can set their own minimum requirements for a VA loan.
