Budgeting: Get budgeting and money management advice, including ideas for increasing income and reducing expenses.
Debt counseling and management plans: An expert can help you understand your financial situation and help you set goals to overcome debt. If you're dealing with collection calls and late fees, get help developing a structured repayment plan to bring your accounts current.
Credit reports: A financial expert can help you evaluate your credit report, dispute inaccurate information, and take action to improve your credit score.
Student loans: Get help evaluating student loan repayment options and strategies, including personalized payment plans.
Housing counseling: GreenPath is approved by HUD to assist with pre-purchase home buyer preparation, reverse mortgage counseling, and foreclosure prevention.
Prepare Before You Call
When you call, you'll reach a financial wellness expert immediately. Prepare for your call by making a list of questions and goals. You should also gather financial paperwork and information that will be helpful during your call. All sessions are conducted over the phone and will last for about 45 minutes.

No prep work is required, but one of the first things a counselor will do is put together a budget. Having an idea of one's income and expenses is helpful. If you have billing statements handy, even better.
The first session takes between 45 minutes to an hour. However, the time it will take will also depend on your unique situation.
Yes, all sessions are delivered via phone. In-person appointments are not available for GreenPath Services in partnership with BECU. GreenPath does not have local offices in the state of Washington.
No appointment is necessary. There will be immediate access to a financial wellness expert when you call.
No, GreenPath pulls a credit report free of charge. They cannot provide you with your credit score. However, BECU offers you access to your FICO credit score for free through your online banking profile. Or, visit www.annualcreditreport.com if you would like to access your credit score.
All information is secure and confidential. GreenPath will not share information with anyone without permission. They do not report to the credit bureaus.
Yes. GreenPath holds certification under the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) and is a national housing counseling intermediary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
