How To Set Up Alerts
Alerts are messages that notify you about important account activity and help you stay on top of your finances. You can customize your alert options and how you receive them in both Online Banking and in the mobile app.

Online and Mobile Banking Alerts
Customize your alerts in Online Banking and the BECU mobile app.* You can choose to be notified about the following:
- Messages
- Exceeded budgets
- Debt payment reminders
- Low account balances
- Large deposits
- Large expenses/withdrawals
- Fees charged
- Foreign transactions
Managing Alerts in Online Banking
- Log in to Online Banking.
- In the upper right corner of the page, click Profile then select Alert Settings.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to choose alert types, select your delivery method and verify your contact information when prompted.
Managing Alerts in the BECU Mobile App
- Log in to the BECU mobile app. If you don't have the app, download it from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
- Click the menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings, then Notifications.
- Toggle the options on and off to select your delivery method.
- Request and confirm your verification code(s).
Business Online Banking Alerts
Business members who operate as a corporation, partnership, and LLC using an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for tax reporting can set up and customize alerts in Business Online Banking and the Business Online Banking mobile app.* Types of alerts include:
- Debt payment reminders
- Low account balance
- Large deposit
- Large expenses
- Fee charged (e.g., out-of-network ATMs, overdrawing your account, etc.)
- International transactions
Managing Alerts in Business Online Banking
- Log in to Business Online Banking
- Click Administration in the left navigation bar.
- Select Alerts, then New Alerts in the top right corner.
- Choose your alert types and delivery methods.
- Verify your contact information when prompted.
Managing Alerts in the Business Online Banking Mobile App
- Log in to the Business Online Banking mobile app. If you don't have the app, download it from the Apple or Google Play store.
- Click on the menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings; then Notifications.
- Choose which alerts you'd like to customize by selecting the Edit links.
- Select your delivery method and request a verification.
- Confirm your verification code(s).

How To Edit Your Alerts
Need to update how you receive alerts or which accounts they apply to? Click Edit next to any alert to:
- Switch between email, text or push notifications.
- Choose which the accounts each alert applies to.
To get started:
- Log in to Online Banking and go to the Alerts menu, or
- Log in to Business Online Banking and select Administration, then Alerts.
Alerts can help you avoid surprises and stay on top of your finances — customize them anytime to fit your needs.
