How To Set Up Alerts

Alerts are text or email notifications of account activity to help you stay on top of your finances.

Online Banking Alerts | Business Online Banking Alerts

Online Banking Alerts

Members and Business members who operate as a sole proprietorship, LLC using a SSN for tax reporting, clubs, trusts and estates can set up and customize alerts in Online Banking and the BECU mobile app.*

Steps for Online Banking

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. In the upper right corner of the page, click Profile then select Alert Settings (if you are not taken directly to the Alerts section).
  3. Follow the directions; ensure you verify your email or phone number.

Steps for the BECU Mobile App

  1. Log in to the BECU mobile app. If you don't have the app, download it from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Click on the menu in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Select Settings; then Notifications.
  4. Choose which alerts you'd like to customize by clicking the Edit links.
  5. Select your delivery method and request a verification.
  6. Confirm your verification code(s).

Business Online Banking Alerts

Business members who operate as a corporation, partnership, and LLC using an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for tax reporting can set up and customize alerts in Business Online Banking and the Business Online Banking mobile app.*

Steps for Business Online Banking

  1. Log in to Business Online Banking.
  2. Click Administration in the left-hand navigation bar and then click Alerts.
  3. Click New Alerts in the top right corner of the alerts page to add an alert.
  4. Follow the directions; ensure you verify your email or phone number.

Steps for Business Online Banking and the Business Online Banking Mobile App

  1. Log in to the Business Online Banking mobile app. If you don't have the app, download it from the Apple or Google Play store.
  2. Click on the menu in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Select Settings; then Notifications.
  4. Choose which alerts you'd like to customize by clicking the Edit links.
  5. Select your delivery method and request a verification.
  6. Confirm your verification code(s).

Types of Alerts

Just click the toggle button next to the desired alert to turn it on or off. Types of alerts include:

  • Debt Payment Reminder: payment on an account is due.
  • Low Account Balance: account is below a certain dollar amount.
  • Large Deposit: successfully received a large deposit.
  • Large Expense: made a major purchase.
  • Fee Charged: fee charged to your account (out-of-network ATMs, overdrawing your account, etc.).
  • International Transactions: international transactions charged to your account.

How To Edit Alerts

Want to change how you receive an alert? How about changing on which account each alert applies? Just click the Edit button when viewing your alerts. You can choose to receive alerts via text message or email, and also choose which accounts you'll be notified about.

Alerts can help you save money and stay on top of your finances. Get started by logging in to Online Banking and clicking the Alerts menu option, or Business Online Banking and clicking the Administration, then Alerts section.
