Extreme Team Winner
Jamie McAtee and her canine refuge center Rescue4All is the latest "Extreme Team" winner. The Extreme Team is a dedicated team lead by Mark Peterson of 4 News Now. The Extreme Team comes together on behalf of deserving community non-profits to provide an "extreme" solution to major financial hurdles or daunting projects. During this year's Call for Entries, numerous individuals nominated Jamie's nonprofit for the prize to assist her mission of creating, cultivating and fostering a community of like-minded people who want to improve the lives of rescue animals.”
The rescue center does this by remaining committed to healing dogs in need in the local Spokane community. Founded by Jamie in 2013, Rescue4All has saved more than 385 dogs through an entirely volunteer-funded and volunteer-run operation. Last fall, the Rescue4All expanded to over 10 acres, and, with the tireless help of volunteers, is slowly building a new refuge center.
That's where the KXLY Extreme Team and BECU steps in. Because of the Extreme Team award, Rescue4All is now on track to a completely finished center by fall, with funding, sweat equity and supplies donated by a multitude of generous local vendors.
