I completed a profile in the past but I am having trouble logging in. What should I do?

In order to provide the best candidate experience possible, BECU transitioned to a new applicant tracking system on January 2, 2018. If you completed a profile on BECU's career site prior to January 2, 2018, the user name and password will not work. You will need to create a brand new profile when prompted on our site.

How do I apply to BECU?

Easy! Just hit the “Search and apply” button featured throughout the careers pages, find the role that fits you best, and use your LinkedIn profile, Facebook profile or resume to quickly apply on your desktop or mobile device.

When will I hear from BECU after I apply?

We'll send you an email right away that will give you more information about our process and share some more insights about BECU. You should expect a follow-up within two to three weeks of your initial application in most cases. 

What does your hiring process include?

It depends on what type of position you're applying for. For jobs in our Neighborhood Financial Centers and Contact Centers, the process includes a video interview, a follow-up conversation with a recruiter and an onsite interview.

For positions in other areas, you will typically speak with a recruiter first, followed by either a phone interview with a hiring manager or an onsite interview. 

How can I check on the status of my application?

The BECU Careers portal provides real-time status on any positions for which you are currently being considered. You are also able to call your recruiter if you have a specific question. 

Where is BECU located?

BECU is headquartered in Tukwila, Washington, about 14 miles south of downtown Seattle. We have Neighborhood Financial Centers throughout Western Washington as well as in Spokane, WA and Charleston, SC. 

Does BECU have an internship program?

Yes! Students in good academic standing with proven leadership skills and a passion for community involvement are encouraged to apply.

Students will be selected for either phone or in-person interviews based on qualifications. If you are selected for an in-person interview, please be prepared to bring the following with you:

  • A short, two-paragraph essay on why you want to explore the financial services industry

  • A copy of your official school transcript

  • A letter of recommendation preferably from a teacher or professor who can speak to your qualifications

Recruiter Top Tips

When it comes to applications, here's advice from some our very own recruiters: 

  • Tailor your resume to the position you are seeking at BECU and include measurable results. The more you can demonstrate how you made, saved or achieved something, the more compelling it will be to a recruiter or hiring manager.

  • Ensure your email address is appropriate for work.

  • Check your spam or junk folders for emails from BECU or any of our recruitment vendors.

  • Have voicemail set up on your phone and clear out your voicemail box.

  • Typically, it may take two to three weeks for BECU to update you from the time you apply. It's okay to check in with us on the status of your application. Before you reach out, first take a look at the Careers Portal to see if the status has been updated.
