How To Designate Beneficiaries on Deposit Accounts

Complete the Designate Beneficiaries form online to add or change the beneficiaries on your BECU deposit accounts.

A beneficiary is a person or entity designated to receive some or all of the balance of an account upon the death of the last account holder. BECU encourages account holders to speak with a trusted advisor, such as a lawyer, to review their estate plan and determine if designating beneficiaries is the right option for them.

Important Information About Designating Beneficiaries

You can designate beneficiaries on any of your personal BECU accounts, including checking, savings, CD and money market. Beneficiaries cannot be designated on non-personal accounts, such as businesses or clubs.

Use the Designate Beneficiaries form to add, change or remove beneficiary designations on your deposit accounts. BECU will remove any previous beneficiaries and update your accounts with the information you provide on the form. To retain beneficiaries, you must relist them on the form.

You can submit the form online or provide a printed and signed PDF copy to BECU. See below for instructions.
