Members Save Using  BECU Home Rewards

Meet two BECU members who bought a house using BECU’s Home Rewards program* and got cash back.

David and Holly were like many BECU members in today's frenzied real estate market – wanting to buy a home, but not sure what will happen once they enter the madhouse that is today's buying arena.

Fortunately for the couple, who just recently closed on their first home purchase, the experience “couldn't have gone smoother,” thanks to preparation, planning and the support of their very own team.

Starting out: BECU branch 

The pair began by heading into a local BECU. Why BECU? “I wanted to keep it somewhere local, where I could come in and ask someone directly questions if I needed to,” explains Holly. After experiencing a helpful and easy application process when she applied for her auto loan, Holly was eager to apply for her mortgage with BECU.

The sale went so smoothly, in fact, that the pair found the house in July and were moving in by the end of the same month – exactly one day before the two were set to leave for a much-needed vacation. The pair wrapped up their mortgage with BECU, thrilled to see the percentage of the commission after the sale closed.

As for owning their new home? “It's nice to be able to use more than 10 nails,” laughs Holly. David and Holly are both still recovering from the shock of being homeowners in this market, and having a relatively easy time doing so. Both would recommend using BECU Home Rewards to future home buyers.
