First, you'll need to make sure you're eligible to open an account at BECU. 2. Open Checking or Savings Account

There are three ways to apply for a BECU account:

  • Apply Online. Applying online takes roughly 15-20 minutes. Once you've completed the process, you can choose to have your debit card mailed to you, or have it printed in person at one of our locations.

  • Apply In Person. Applying in-person takes a little longer, but debit cards are printed for immediate, same-day use. Plus, we can help you through any hiccups you might encounter when opening your account. We can also assist you in setting up your BECU Online Banking profile, nicknaming your accounts, creating automatic transfers, and even downloading our mobile app2.

Download and mail us the application (this will involve a 2-4 week wait time, including additional waiting period for a mailed debit card).

We also have an easy to use mobile app. Use it to deposit checks on the go and find your closest ATM. Download it on your app store for iOS, Android and Windows devices.
