Here's What You Need to Make the Switch to BECU

1. Establish Your BECU Membership

Apply online2 or in person at a BECU location. Be sure to have your valid U.S. government-issued ID.

Join Online

Applying online is easy. Once you've completed the process, you can choose from a wide range of debit card designs to show your personality or support your favorite team. You can have the debit card mailed to you, or printed in person at your nearest location.

Join In Person

If you apply in person with a member consultant, your debit card will be printed on the spot, and your consultant will help you sign up for online and mobile banking.

2. Deposit Money To Your BECU Accounts

Moving your money into new account(s) in just a few, simple steps. Use your BECU debit card to deposit cash or checks at any BECU ATM.

Enroll in online or mobile banking3 to:

  • Deposit a check.
  • Receive or send money with Zelle®.4

Update your direct and/or automatic deposits to your new account(s):

  • You can access your direct deposit ACH information through Online Banking under account services.

Wire transfers can be an efficient way to send or receive larger amounts of money.

3. Start Using Your New BECU Accounts

Transfer your automatic payments:

  • Make a list of where you make payments online and update them to your new BECU cards and accounts.
  • Use bill payment through Online Banking to pay your bills for free.

Add your BECU debit card to your mobile device's digital wallet for contact-less payment.

You can use tap to pay directly through your BECU credit card.

Keep monitoring your old accounts until all deposits and payments have cleared.
