Yes. Membership is free, and you can open a savings account with no deposit in person. Online, there is a minimum $10 deposit. There are no monthly maintenance fees or minimum balance requirements to keep your account open.

Anyone can apply for a BECU account, but you must be in our field of membership. To be in our field of membership:

You live, work, worship or attend school in certain geographies.
You are a part of an affiliated organization.
If neither of the above apply, BECU may donate to a qualifying association on your behalf.

When you open your first account, we will walk you through quick, simple steps to determine field of membership eligibility.
