How long have you been a BECU member?
I don't recall the exact year, but I have been a BECU member for more than 25 years when BECU required you to have a family member that worked for Boeing to join, which was my dad.
What do you love most about BECU?
I love the ease of accessing my accounts anywhere in the world, anytime and no fees. I love online banking and regularly BECU's online mobile banking to check balances, transfer funds and make deposits.
If you could retire anywhere, where would it be?
New Zealand
If you had to eat one meal, every day, for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would be Indian food, specifically butter chicken which is a creamy tomato curry.
What has been the best piece of financial advice you have ever received?
Strike while the iron's hot! I purchased my first home many years ago, a condo located in North Capitol Hill in Seattle overlooking Lake Union and Elliott Bay. The interest rates were rock bottom at the time. BECU made buying my first home easy with low-interest rates and a knowledgeable mortgage department. I no longer own the condo, but the sale of that home helped my husband, and I buy a house north of Seattle where we currently reside with our 7-year daughter, cat, and puppy. BECU still offers the best mortgage rates around!
