All BECU members over the age of 18 are invited to participate in the BECU Member Research Panel. Participating members will get a sneak peek into products and services we are developing. You will be able to provide feedback about the products and services and receive a thank you reward for participation.

How It Works

  1. Sign Up: The Sign Up button will take you to our research partner's platform, UserTesting.com. There, you will complete a participant profile by answering questions about yourself. Learning more about you and the products you use will help us determine the research studies that are a good fit for you.
  2. Join a Research Study: If a study is a good fit for you, you will get an email with a link to your personal participant dashboard. There you will find details about the study and how to get started.
  3. Get Rewarded: After completing the study, you'll receive a thank you reward deposited to your PayPal account within seven days. The amount will range from $4 to $60, depending on the study.

What is the BECU Member Research Panel?
The panel is used to gather member feedback and experiences about BECU's products and services. Participants will get a sneak peek into products and services BECU is working to develop. All BECU members over age 18 are invited to participate.

What is the company UserTesting?
UserTesting is a customer experience testing company. BECU partners with them to get member feedback on BECU products, services, websites, mobile apps, product prototypes and in-person engagements.

Is my personal information kept private?
UserTesting will not sell your personal information for any purpose. To learn more, visit UserTesting's Protecting Your Privacy While Testing.

What kind of participants are you looking for?
The panel is open only to BECU members. We want to learn about members' experiences with a product or service and get feedback that may change the way you are currently doing something.

How do I join the BECU Member Research Panel?
Click the Sign Up to Participate button to join and complete your participant profile on our partner's site, UserTesting.com.

What will I be asked to do?
All studies take place on the UserTesting platform and include computer, mobile and live conversation studies. You may be asked to provide verbal and written responses and we recommend you find a time and a place where you will not be interrupted. Provide honest answers to the questions because we want to understand what you really think. To learn more and see an overview video, check out UserTesting's Getting Started FAQ.

How long does a study take?
It varies based on the type of study: In “unmoderated” studies, a researcher is not present. A typical unmoderated study is less than 20 minutes and is completed on your own time. In “moderated” studies, the study is scheduled and a researcher is present and talking through questions. A typical moderated study is 30-60 minutes. You will be notified of the length of time in the invitation.

How am I notified about a study?
Once you have created your participant profile on UserTesting.com, you'll be notified about any studies that are a good match for you by either: An email inviting you to participate in a research study. Your personal participant dashboard will list studies that are a good fit for you.

How often can I participate?
Participation is unlimited. If you are a good fit for the study, we want to hear from you.

What will I receive for participating?
You will receive a financial reward added to your PayPal account. Participation rewards will vary based on the requirements of the study. Check out the UserTesting FAQ: Payment and Schedule Information.

Can I opt-out of all future research studies?
Yes. To opt out of all future research studies for both in-person and through UserTesting, follow the steps below:

  1. Send an opt-out request email to UserResearchOpt-Out@becu.org and include your UserTesting Username in your request. We will make a note on your account so you won't get any user research or market research invites.
  2. Delete your UserTesting account by following these instructions: How do I delete my account?
