BECU is a cooperative. As such, we are a democratic organization and each of our members has a stake in owning BECU.
You're invited, as an eligible member, to elect candidates for open seats on BECU's Board of Directors and Audit Committee for the coming year. Candidates have been vetted and nominated by our Nominating Committee. You can read more about that process below and here.
We encourage all members to elect the nominated candidates in a show of support for the board and for the democratic process. This year, three positions on the Board are being elected and one position on the audit committee is being elected.
In previous years, voting on the slate would take place at our annual meeting. We're excited to say that this year, voting will take place in advance (online, by mail or over the phone) and the results will be announced at our annual meeting, which will take place at the Member Summit on Wednesday, April 19.
We hope you'll be able to both vote and attend Member Summit! These are two important ways that you can help shape BECU and make your voice heard in your credit union.
VOTE ONLINE. Please note BECU's online voting is conducted via a secured website, run by CU Ballot.

Candidates interested in being considered for the Board of Directors submit resumes and letters of interest to the BECU Board of Directors and Audit Committee. After an initial screening of resumes, interviews are then conducted and candidates are nominated by the Board Nominating Committee. Members may also secure a place on the nomination slate through a petition process, which requires the signatures of 2% of BECU members.
The nominated candidates are then elected by our general membership – that's you.
