BECU named Steve Hauschild to lead its efforts in Eastern Washington, including overseeing the credit union’s recently announced expansion into the Spokane area.
Beginning April 4, Hauschild represents BECU's interests across the region, including directing the organization's business banking services and community relations activity. BECU will provide consumer and commercial banking services to the Spokane market and will open new branches. BECU currently has 4,000-plus Spokane members and has operated a contact center in the Spokane Valley with more than 100 employees for over ten years.
A seasoned financial services executive, Hauschild has deep experience in the Spokane area, most recently as EVP Chief Lending Officer (CLO) for Umpqua Bank and prior to that Chief Credit Officer (CCO) for Sterling Bank.
“We are delighted to have Steve join the BECU team. His integrity, experience and local knowledge will be invaluable as we grow our presence in Eastern Washington,” said Benson Porter, BECU's CEO. “He truly believes in the power of people helping people and our commitment to the communities we serve, both core principles of our credit union philosophy.”
In addition to commercial banking services, BECU is excited to introduce our commercial lending capability to the Spokane market. Looking to refinance a maturing loan? Perhaps you're seeking BECU's local attention and benefits when financing a new owner-occupied, investor or SBA property in the Spokane market. We can help!
