Connect With Us via BECU Messenger

Need to reach us quickly? Connect with a BECU support agent via Messenger, now available in Online Banking and the BECU mobile app.*

What is Messenger?

BECU Messenger allows you to send us a message on either your mobile device or desktop. While it's not live chat, agents will respond within an hour or less during business hours. Need to run an errand? Start your message on your desktop, grab your mobile device and finish the conversation while you're out.

What types of questions can Messenger help with?

You can complete a variety of actions, including:

  • Requesting temporary increases to daily transaction limits

  • Filing a fraud or dispute claim

  • Finding out why a transaction was declined

How do I access Messenger?

Follow the steps below to get started with BECU Messenger on either platform.

Save your old conversations

The Messenger feature will replace the secure message functionality in both Online Banking and the app, so we recommend saving any important conversations you might have had using that feature. The easiest way to do this is simply copy/paste the text of the conversation into a separate document.

Important Dates

Feb. 20 – Messenger is live in Online Banking

March 7 – You are no longer able to send or reply to secure messages

March 22 – The secure message functionality is retired from Online Banking.
