How long have you been a BECU Member?

I've been a BECU member since fall of 2013; I joined right when I first moved to Seattle.

What do you love about BECU?

I love how easy it is to walk into a local branch and be seen without an appointment. Multiple times in the past I've forgotten my debit card in an ATM and I was able to get a replacement in less than 15 minutes. BECU tellers have been very helpful every time I see them and it's never a hassle.

What is the best piece of financial advice you have ever received?

Don't spend money you don't have!

What are some things you are looking forward to in the next year?

I just graduated from the University of Washington this spring with my Bachelor's degree in Molecular/Cellular/Developmental Biology, so in the next year I am looking forward to assisting in the medical field, working with medical documentation at a new practice, before I begin to apply for medical school. I plan to hopefully continue my education at UW in the Physician Assistant program. Beyond that, I'm looking forward to spending any free time I do have enjoying the outdoors!

Fun fact about yourself:

I am an avid biker. Once I completed a century ride by myself from University District, around Lake Washington, into West Seattle—which is a 100-mile bike ride. I also love backpacking, and exploring new camping spots in the PNW.
