BECU Relocates Renton Uwajimaya Neighborhood Financial Center to Accommodate Growth

Tukwila, Wash. (September 16, 2011) —On Monday, October 17 at 9 a.m., BECU will open a new Neighborhood Financial Center (NFC) at 17615 108th Ave. SE, Suite C in Renton. The new location is in Benson Corner at the intersection of SE Carr Rd and 108th Ave. SE. The current location inside the Uwajimaya grocery store will close on Saturday, October 15 at 1 p.m.

The new 2,000 square foot location will have additional consultant desks, 2 ATM's with 24 hour access, and 2 Online Banking Kiosks to better serve members. In addition, members can make an appointment with an Investment Advisor to review their current retirement accounts as well as discuss long term goals. Members can use the location to establish accounts, apply for loans and perform financial transactions -- including free ATM, online and telephone banking services, with staff assistance, if needed.

"Our move to the Benson area will enable BECU to serve the Renton community more effectively. Our Renton Landing Neighborhood Financial Center will provide convenient access in the downtown Renton area and the addition of our new Benson location will make BECU membership even more attractive for those who live or work in the Benson area of Renton said Alan Seiler, BECU's Manager of the Benson location. "Historically, BECU was open only to Boeing employees and their families. Now anyone in the state is eligible to join, and this new location will allow us to continue to grow within the Renton community.
