BECU routinely evaluates our credit card members’ credit portfolios. If your credit has improved, and you don’t already have the lowest rate, we look to lower the APR on your card.
We generally review credit portfolios in the fall of each year. This year, we are reviewing and lower rates on September 1. Approximately 15,000 members will see a change in their rate. If your rate is lowered, BECU will send you a letter. You can also log into Online Banking to see your new lower rate.
What if your rate doesn’t change?
BECU looks to lower cardholders’ APR based on credit history with BECU and other lenders. If your credit history qualifies for a lower APR, we make the adjustment. But this is no guarantee that your rate will be lowered. Certain accounts may be excluded from the rate adjustment consideration—including, but not limited to the following reasons:/p
