Individual Membership

Your application should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and you will need the following information. You are required to be over age 13 to open an account online.

• Driver's License or a Passport
• U.S. Social Security Number
• U.S. Citizenship or resident alien status
• Account information from other financial institutions that you wish to switch to BECU

Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open a new account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

Please carefully read the following disclosure Electronic Communications Disclosure and acknowledge your consent by checking the box below. If you do not wish to receive Electronic Communications from us, you may apply for membership by mail, facsimile or in person at any BECU location.

You, including any joint account-holder, agree with all terms of the Electronic Communications Disclosure and Consent (pdf) to receiving Electronic Communications.

Small Business Membership

Are you a business owner with an active Washington State Business License? Then you may be eligible for BECU Small Business Membership and our great Credit Union benefits. Just print and fill out the application and bring it to the nearest BECU location.

Membership Eligibility Details

You can apply for membership at BECU if you are a Washington state resident, or if you meet any of the following eligibility requirements:

• You live, work, worship, or attend school within a Washington state school district
• You are a past or present employee (or the family member of an employee) of: The Boeing Company, its subsidiaries or affiliates, BECU, or The Museum of Flight in Seattle
• You own a small business located in Washington state and satisfy our business account requirements (for Small Business Membership)
• You are a current employee of a subsidiary or affiliate previously owned or operated in whole or in part by The Boeing Company
• You are a federal employee stationed at a Boeing Company facility
• You are an officer or full-time employee of a labor bargaining agency representing Boeing employees
• You are currently receiving, or eligible to receive, benefits from a company whose current employees are eligible for BECU membership
• You are related by descent, adoption, marriage, or domestic partnership to a person meeting one of the above criteria
